Here we are at the end of the year and oh, yes, I should have posted more. But then that’s the way of things in my head and I’m already adding write more (and make the blog sweeter) to my 2023 resolutions list. Anyway, this is my Winterval Windup where I’ll go through the past years posts and explain what’s gone right or wrong… Starting from the end… Recent Circles Advent of Code(AoC)… I’ve been doing the Advent of Code this year and its been fun though I’ve called a halt around Day 16, because its been getting harder and more algorithm driven and thats been eating my brain time.

May Be A Circle May comes around and I realise my intention to post regularly has been well, this is an embarassed look to the side. So what’s been going on in the various circles of development hell…. DoNotDisturb So the dnd project at add do not disturb (dnd) lights at the door to the office with a remote switch was both completed and dismantled. The project scope expanded to include a CO2, Temperature, and Humidity sensor which would pump stats into the MQTT broker while it also managed the lights.

So, something short to update folks. Circle 1 - Hacking on MQTT, Go, Python and Swift I’ve been currently playing with a polygot project with MQTT. It started with the MuteSync, a button which is wired up with software to mute all your conferencing apps at once. Well, it’s neatly done but I always like to hack into things to make them work more like I want. And actually muting is overrated for me.

So, 2022 eh. Better start doing something here which you may want to read. So this is Circles, a weekly round up of things on my radar. This week, some physical Pi hacking, waiting for a 2.5Gbe PC, some Swift coding, 3D printed stands and a site to check the Prime Ministerial status… Pi hacking (Circle 1) Over the festivus and merinium, I was doing various bits and pieces.
